I'm tired of being in a strange city with nobody I know but Markus
25 September 2003   8:50 pm

We leave for Tashkent tomorrow. About damn time. I like Dushanbe, but I'm tired of being in a strange city with nobody I know but Markus. Tomorrow I'll be back in a city I understand where people speak a language I understand. And, with luck, I'll see Mike and Gulnara and their baby. Very nice. About damn time.

A note to my mother - why do you never email?

USAID is one of many donors for the project I work for. And I mean it. I probably give the US government heart attacks.
